The theme of the Congress this year was 'The Embodied Mind in Action' - not a bad short-form definition of what the Technique is all about.
This month I was at University College, Dublin for the 13th International Alexander Technique Congress. I found it immensely stimulating to be one of 650 Alexander Teachers milling - or should I say, gliding? - around the beautiful UCD campus. And heartwarming to realise how the AT is thriving in faraway corners of the globe. For example, we welcomed ten participants from South Korea. A special shout out to Jeremy Chance, who has spent the last 25 years building the AT in Japan - now the home of the largest AT teacher training school in the world.
